Berzerker #1 was published in 1993 by Gauntlet Comics, an imprint of Gary Reed’s Caliber Press. The back-up feature was a short comic book story entitled “The Time Crimes of Grandfather Clock!” and featured a character called the Knight Watchman.
Big Bang Chronological Part 4: Berzerker
As I mentioned in part 3 of this so far “pre history” of Big Bang Comics, my Megaton Publishing ended in 1987. I really needed a break and didn’t even think about comics for a while. While a number of Megaton alumni went on to Marvel, DC, First Comics and more, I was happy to remodel my house and add a dormer to the upstairs.
Pantheon of Super-Heroes Part 2
Welcome to part two of this blog about Big Bang’s Pantheon of Heroes, my loving homage to one of my favorite strips of all time, DC’s Legion of Super-Heroes.
There’s not much new in the way of info from me this time – I just thought that I’d share all the work and love that artist Darren Goodhart poured into his designs for these characters that were originally used for about 12 pages in Big Bang Comics #s 12, 14 and 18.

The Pantheon of Heroes
This column is dedicated to Big Bang fan Nick Ryan, who sent me an email asking “Will we ever see the Pantheon of Super-heroes again?”
As I told him, the Legion of Super-heroes and Teen Titans were my favorite books growing up, and our Big Bang versions of them – – the Pantheon and the Whiz Kids, were some of my most beloved stories.

Dr. Weird was the only character in the core Big Bang universe that wasn’t created to be an avatar for any existing comic book character. In fact, Dr. Weird predated the BB universe by more than 30 years, and had a real history of his own.
